The JP Enterprises TRE-5 Large Profile Stainless Steel 1/2x28 Threaded Compensator (JPTRE-5.12S.875) provides maximum performance and redirects gasses to cancel out recoil impulses. At 1.2" outside diameter, these compensators don't meet the 1" x 3" restriction that spawned the original JP Compensators, but for duty use, hunting, recreation, or most any other use, the TRE-5 Series offers a slight edge on performance over its little brothers without a radical aesthetic departure.
