Butler Creek was founded in Montana in the 1930s. The founder, De Vissing, was challenged by a friend to create a product that kept your scope dry but allowed the scope to be used at a moment's notice. Shortly after, Vissing produced scope covers and sold them through sporting magazines. Later, Fred and Bill Heckerman bought the company and renamed it, Butler Creek. Since then, they have manufactured innovative, field-proven accessories that enhance shooting experiences for hunters and tactical shooters.
